The level of "uprising" in the west bank is already higher then the first Intifada, the reason that the Israelies don't get hurt so much is that IDF react more directly.
When you look at the number of "uprising"events and deads Palestinians its quite clear.
The only question is if they actually call it Intifada, or use a different name.
@CarmelHadar Well they put down the rocks and picked up the grenades. I see lots of Palestinians saying to BBC they are thinking everyday about the Nakba, which is frankly very alarming and I wonder now why there is no talk about who rebuilds Gaza because it’s certainly not going to be Hamas.
I was not talking about Gaza, but on the west bank. It's irrelevant to talk about "Intifada" when you have open warfare
They didn't "put down the rocks" they use all they have, and in the west bank there are many rock events, almost every day. They use all they have, those with RPG use that and those with rocks use that. If you not calling it Intifada, then the term is meaningless.
(Honestly, I think it is, or at least the way that the question frames this. Maybe better question will be "will this be remember as the third Intifada",).
Anyway, if we consider the intensity, this is way higher level of "uprising " (even just the west bank).
@nathanwei Is there an easy way to see when a market was created? If I took the word “this” in the title as referring to current events and a mass uprising were to start, say, in March, then I would vote Yes but other people (like you) took it as referring to Oct. 7.
