"Objectively horrible" is a bit of a high bar I'm not sure too many mainstream artists reach. In other words, it's easy to not be horrible.

Not a huge fan, but it's alright, I don't find it particularly annoying.

The poll overwhelmingly reflects that hardly anyone thinks that Taylor Swift's music is objectively horrible. People may or may not like it, but it's not horrible.

@firstuserhere seems to me that the poll overwhelmingly reflects that only a statistically very unlikely 7.1% of the poll voters have ears

@dgga People are obviously afraid to answer honestly for fear of harassment from swifties.

@dgga if you have ears you should put them to better use than an obsession with Destiny

@firstuserhere I think she has only made one good song, shake it off.

folklore and evermore slap (me in the feelings) (repeatedly)

it likely wasn't meant to but this sent me into a whole consideration with myself about what I consider "objective" when it comes to art. hard to say her music, which is technically sound (not an abhorrent mix of non-musical sounds or conflicting styles and pitches etc) could be considered horrible by any other measure than personal taste. but I'd be curious about the range of opinions on objectivity here.

I don't have an opinion on Swift's music, but by any objective metric (plays, reviews, sales), her music is unambiguously good.

@tfae You are conflating popular and good.

@BTE they also said 'reviews'. Maybe the reviews are wrong but if most competent judges find it good that's as good a measure of goodness as you're gonna find.

@BTE i listened to Taylor Swift when she was country. I listened to her before even her country songs got popular. In fact, I liked her music more when she was not so popular (and making pop songs), and it was and still is good music. Especially the folklore and Evermore albums from recent ones are good, others are ok.

@NicoDelon I have found at least one really angry person who works at the WSJ that hates Taylor Swift LOL!!!

@BTE Oh lots of haters! She’s long triggered them.

hate speech. blocked and reported.

@NicoDelon LMAO!! It’s a question not a statement.

@NicoDelon well maybe it’s kind of a statement too. I just can’t stand it. So much whining.

@BTE haters gonna hate

@NicoDelon just shake it off
