Trump announced tariffs on externally-produced agricultural products. No scope was given. Will these tariffs actually happen and what will be the scope on regards to origin countries?
If certain agricultural categories are excluded plays no role for resolution of this market.
Update 2025-04-02 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Tariff Scope Clarification:
Only tariffs applied specifically to agricultural products will count.
Tariffs that are global in nature (i.e., not exclusively agriculture-specific) do not meet the resolution criteria.

@AlexanderTheGreater In that case, there do not appear to be any new specifically agricultural tariffs, either announced or in-effect, just overall "reciprocal" tariffs
@spiderduckpig yes, that's my impression so far as well. I did hear (from Peter Zeihan's summary on today) that the details they will release later today(?) supposedly include sector-specific information. I'll play it safe and give it to some time tomorrow to see what's in these supposed details or if they even well be released today.
So right now, I'd resolve this as "no agriculture-specific tariffs"
This is all so bizarre!
@AlexanderTheGreater The sector exemptions they mention do not appear to mention agriculture
