@Gen Prize drawings have been one of the least useful things for Manifold. They are not only gambling, but also are an easy way to lose users. Prize drawings are not really useful for prediction markets, and the user verification rules regarding this make it impossible to get new users as nobody is willing to give their data away to some random company to play a game with 300 users, which is unknown to the rest of the world. Over time, old users will eventually get bored or just leave for other reasons. Who will fill that void? Besides, the prize drawings feel like a lottery, completely unrelated to prediction markets, and create legal problems for Manifold. It makes it harder for someone in a restricted country to use the page. For example, I live in India, and here real money betting is illegal, so Manifold may even be be banned for this. Please revert all these changes and make and bring Manifold back to the old days, especially with the introduction of crypto payments. It's much easier to and safer to use USD. On the new user verification, you can still keep this, but you can rate limit them for comments or give them a less mana starting balance, say 100 mana instead of 1,000.
