I love "Multiple political parties, regular public vote for which party, and its leader, and top politicians, and policy choices." if you're lucky enough to be Switzerland with its fantastic standing with everyone, and where they have this and it seems to work well. Unfortunately if you're anywhere else it lets any enemies, including enemies abroad, spend a few million or billion and puppet the state, with indoctrination of the population as a byproduct, which if you have directly democracy isn't only every 4 years.
