If a "mute" feature exists but it doesn't stop B from viewing or interacting with A's public tweets, this will still resolve NO.

What if B can see the tweet, but cannot reply/like/quote/retweet?

@rpominov If B doesn't have to use any workarounds (eg. logging in to a different account, fetching Tweets using the API, install a browser extension, ...) to view tweets, this will resolve as NO.

The existence of workarounds to view the tweets wouldn't make this question resolve NO by itself, as workarounds like that already exist today.

@yep Thanks, but I'm still not sure I understand how "or interacting" changes the resolution criteria. Could you give an example in which case it would matter?

What Word Will Twitter/X Use to designate their next version of 'Block/Mute'

With the Twitter/X announcement of retiring 'block' https://twitter.com/lindayaX/status/1692705481653973132 what noun/verb/term will the company use to designate the evolution of the feature? Will it remain as "block" Will it remain as "mute" Will they introduce a new term? (quiet, deafen, deboost, sap, drain, curse, banish, badger, parrot, mime, rock, brick, de-aggro, etc..) If they decide to use a combination of terms, I will accept both. ex: If we will 'drain mute' people, then i will both accept 'drain' and 'mute' Similar to how X renamed 'Tweet' to 'Post', the resolution should be fairly clear. The UI should have the new term built in. Currently we have 'block' as the button on '...' on a tweet. [image]
