In their influential paper "Lorentzian quantum cosmology" (https://arxiv.org/abs/1703.02076 ) physicists Feldbrugge, Lehners and Turok claim that they were studying a "Lorentzian path integral, defined as a functional integral over real Lorentzian metrics."
