If I attend the Conceptual Boundaries Workshop, will I consider it to have been a good use of my time a month later?

I'm considering attending the Conceptual Boundaries workshop, a "workshop for identifying, discussing, and strategizing about promising AI safety research directions related to the boundaries that causally distinguish agents from their environment." It will take place from February 10-12, 2024 in Austin, TX (I live in the Bay Area).

I will not bet on this market, and I'm happy to answer questions about what it would take for it to be worth my time.

What are you hoping to get out of it, what would you do if you didn't attend, and have you attended workshops like it before?

@RomanHauksson Best case is that be convinced that it's likely to lead to, or be a substantial part of, a solution to AI safety, such that it convinces me to work on it or makes me feel much more informed about the future. At a month after the conference, I'll mostly weight the likelihood of that happening and the other benefits I got against the costs of attending.

I don't have particular plans for that weekend. Closest thing I've attended to that was an AI timelines workshop (which was worthwhile, but probably wouldn't be if I did it today since the cost of my time has gone up), and an longterm macrostrategy workshop, which was extremely worthwhile.
