This market will resolve based on the official total number of goals scored by Cristiano Ronaldo (for Portugal) and Lionel Messi (for Argentina) during the 2026 FIFA World Cup (held from June 11 to July 19, 2026).
Winning Outcomes:
Cristiano Ronaldo: Resolves YES if Ronaldo scores more goals than Messi during the tournament.
Lionel Messi: Resolves YES if Messi scores more goals than Ronaldo during the tournament.
They will score the same number of goals: Resolves YES if both players finish the tournament with the exact same number of goals (including if both score 0 or do not play).
Goal Definitions: Only goals scored during normal time and extra time of official matches count toward the player's tally. Goals scored during post-match penalty shootouts do not count. Own goals do not count toward a player's individual goal tally.
Sources of Truth: The market will resolve using official player data published on the FIFA World Cup Official Website. Fallback sources will be official statistics from FBref's 2026 World Cup Stats or FOX Sports' Player Stats.
Resolution Timing: The market will resolve after both Argentina and Portugal have been eliminated, or following the conclusion of the World Cup Final on July 19, 2026.
