IIUC the current structure has 5-6 direct invites to the final table, presumably none of whom will be regulars, which puts a pretty hard cap on the odds of a Home Town Hero victory.
(Now the manifold poker regulars are playing for just a couple of invites, but will only be a minority in the qualifiers anyways. Don’t like those odds, even making no assumptions about skill)
