After the Rangers winning in 2023, there are now 5 that have not won yet, although more teams could be added:
Colorado Rockies
Milwaukee Brewers
San Diego Padres
Seattle Mariners
Tampa Bay Rays
@SunilOcara: Out of the 5 teams that haven't won yet, all 5 of them have now already been added as options — so the "Other" option probably isn't the most likely (unless a new team forms before the others win a World Series).
@PaintspotInfez it is certainly possible since this will take a few years https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mlb-expansion-breaking-down-eight-possible-locations-for-new-baseball-teams-from-population-to-local-clubs/
@strutheo How does this affect the “other” category? If we assume (as we pretty much have to) that expansion is possible, then “other” is always possible and can never resolve to no.
@SunilOcara this market resolves no when all active/existing teams have won the world series at least once. so it will resolve NO at the end if someone splits off a new team option
@SunilOcara if you buy OTHER and a new option is added, you get shares in that option. manifold has a system for it
@strutheo Your description says there are now 5 teams that have not won but more could be added. That’s seems to conflict with the statement here that this only includes current active/existing teams.
@strutheo Basically, is “other” a NO right now since all 5 teams that have not won yet have been adde
@SunilOcara if you bet YES on OTHER right now, you anticipate a new team being added that will be the last to win the world series
(which isnt impossible - it could take 10+ yrs for these listed teams to all win, and in that time a new team could be added)
@strutheo Okay I think I understand. The market resolves once every team in the league (at that time) has won the WS. Thanks
