Critical flicker fusion frequency is the frequency at which a flickering light appears steady, such that one flicker cannot be perceived to be distinct from the next.
E.g., you would value one year of life at 100 Hz of CFFF the same as two years of life at 50 Hz of CFFF

I’m a religious man - the value of a person depends not on their age or capability.
From conception to natural death human life is sacred and worth protecting.
It’s an extreme stance and not without its uncomfortable implications. But I much prefer it to the uncomfortable implications of any other system I’ve found.
