Background
SpaceX launched its historic initial public offering (IPO) on June 12, 2026, under the ticker symbol SPCX, marking the largest listing in stock market history. Initially pricing at $135 per share, the stock surged past $225 before experiencing a sharp post-IPO correction.
Following its first quarterly earnings report as a public company in August 2026, SpaceX reported strong revenue growth of 92% year-over-year. However, its shares faced continued downward pressure due to a massive $18.4 billion capital expenditure bill, primarily driven by heavy investments in its AI infrastructure segment (formerly xAI). This market allows traders to speculate on whether ongoing capital expenditures and stock volatility will pull SPCX down to the $75 level by the end of the year.
