Me and my mom @Featherhead Made a bet of 5€ About this like a year ago. With me betting NO and her YES and we want to check the odds with this market.
Resolution Criteria
We'll walk through Göttingen(City in Germany) in the 1st of August around afternoon for 1 hour and if we see 3 or more other people that appear male (/masc-presenting) to us and are wearing a skirt or a dress this resolves YES. If we do the same thing and see less than 3 people like this, it resolves NO.
If it's raining/likely to rain(our weather app says more that 50%) we'll Reschedule to a different day. We might also reschedule by a few days if something more important comes up.
Neither of us will bet on this market or influence the outcome by telling people what to wear.
If anything is worded incoherently or offensively please let me know in the comment (it's a long description + im kinda bad at writing + tired)
Is there a cultural reason to expect this, like a local custom or subculture about it? Do you see them frequently in life? I don't think I've seen a single such person in my entire life so far in the UK. I know drag queens exist but I've only ever seen them on TV. I hope you're not talking about trans women who don't fully pass yet?
@TheAllMemeingEye Nope, there isn't any cultural reason to expect this that I'm aware of. My mom just thought that the overall culture would go in such a direction(we made this bet like 1 year ago). And no, Im not talking about trans women who don't fully pass yet, they would not count(although we didn't explicitly talk about this when making the bet, but i think it was assumed). It's actually kinda tricky to find a way to account for that, and we didn't think about this yet. It might be a good idea to ask them about their gender, but might also be awkward, idk. Do you have any ideas?
