Things that could be easy to overlook and have an outsized impact on your experience:
Not having a bike
Not having shade over your tent (if sleeping in a tent)
Not bringing a bed sheet / tapestry to put over your bedding during daytime (to minimize dust in bed). (If in tent)
Not keeping clothing in ziplocks.
Not taping the windows (if in RV)
Not having an eyemask and earplugs
