Things that could be easy to overlook and have an outsized impact on your experience:

  • Not having a bike

  • Not having shade over your tent (if sleeping in a tent)

  • Not bringing a bed sheet / tapestry to put over your bedding during daytime (to minimize dust in bed). (If in tent)

  • Not keeping clothing in ziplocks.

  • Not taping the windows (if in RV)

  • Not having an eyemask and earplugs

  • Not having sunglasses

  • Not having a cup that’s easy to carry around (protip: tape a photocopy of your id on it)

Are you going with anyone else? Will you be camping with a placed theme camp?

Do you like camping? How do you do with heat, dust (I.e. being dirty), and noise?
