Resolution criteria
This market resolves YES if the Pittsburgh Steelers select a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. The draft will be held in Pittsburgh in April 2026. Resolution will be determined by the official NFL draft results available at NFL.com.
Background
The Steelers should be looking for a long-term answer at quarterback in next year's draft, even if Aaron Rodgers decides to play another season with Pittsburgh. According to various insider reports, the Steelers are all-in on drafting a quarterback in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh for the first time in the modern era. The Pittsburgh Steelers were intentional about stockpiling 2026 draft capital, with Omar Khan admitting that their free agent acquisitions this offseason were made with the comp pick formula in mind, and they also netted a third-round pick in the George Pickens trade. The Steelers have more than enough 2026 draft capital to easily move up a few slots in the first round.
Considerations
The Cleveland Browns are currently projected to have nine draft picks to work with, including a pair in the first round. If the Browns want a quarterback, they might be impossible to compete with in terms of trading up to select the premium prospect. While it's been touted as a potentially strong quarterback class, things can dramatically change in a year's time, as evidenced by the 2022 and 2025 NFL Drafts where first-round talents at the position can be hard to come by.
