Resolution criteria

This market resolves to YES if Lindsay DeFranco is officially certified by the Georgia Secretary of State as the winner of the Georgia House of Representatives District 47 general election held on November 3, 2026.

If another candidate wins the seat, or if the election is canceled, this market will resolve to NO.

Resolution will be determined using the official election results published on the Georgia Secretary of State Elections Division website or its official results portal. If certified results are delayed due to a recount, legal challenge, or runoff, resolution will pause until the final certified outcome is published.

Background

Georgia House District 47 encompasses parts of Fulton County, including Milton, Alpharetta, and Mountain Park. The seat became open following the decision of long-serving Republican incumbent and Speaker Pro Tempore Jan Jones not to seek re-election.

Lindsay DeFranco, an independent media executive, nonprofit co-founder, digital creator, and wife of popular Youtuber Philip Defranco, ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. She faces Republican nominee Jack Miller in the November 3, 2026 general election.
