At market close, I will check steam live charts, ordered by current players. If Palworld is in rank 10 or better, resolves NO. Otherwise, resolves YES.

how on earth is being 11th on the steam charts 'dead' lol

predictedNO

@strutheo I chose that because i consider tf2 to be dead and it was around #10 when I checked. I wouldn't really call that dead either because of the non-dead games below that, but I think this market would be less meaningful if I cut off at like #120 or so, where I would actually call a game dead.

Maybe I could have chosen criteria based on player retention like % of peak players but i was too lazy to figure out what a good number for that is

With all that in mind, I probably should have chosen a different title but this one is a direct quote I've heard from a few different people, and I think those people would think it would be humiliating for Palworld if it soon had less players than tf2 or RUST (a direct competitor, also near #10)

@pkpr fair enough, i'd just be clear in the description. 'dead' can mean a lot of things to different people. and everyone uses 'dead game' as a meme so often

i still play tf2 occasionally </3 haha

@pkpr also all the rust players i know are on palworld so there is def overlap
