Will resolve YES on the film with the most votes on a poll (from January 2nd to January 14th 2024) I'll run after this market closes.
A Japanese film is defined as a film with a Japanese director and / or studio.

I’m always confused when Spirited Away is so clearly in the lead like this—maybe it’s because it was the first “anime” I ever saw at like, 16 years old, but it seems creepy, incoherent, and less stylistically refined/thematically appealing compared to Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies, or Akira.
Anybody wanna share what specifically appeals to them about Spirited Away over all the other choices?
@Ophiuchus well it is a betting market, and I think spirited away is the highest rated anime movie on most websites (or it comes in 2nd to the end of evangelion), and it's probably the most popular anime movie or atleast one of the most popular anime movies too
I can't exactly speak for why that it's the most well regarded anime movie, but the things you listed as negatives are a lot of the appeal it has for me. I think its general strangeness and incoherentness give it a really unique feeling unlike any other movie really, but I disagree on it not being as refined. I feel like it's incredibly refined, its just refined in a particularly strange direction mostly focused on the fantasy elements more than anything. Granted, it's been a few years since I watched it, the only other ghibli movie I've seen is princess mononoke, and I wouldn't vote for spirited away in the poll, but I feel like most people get the same things out of the movie I do and it's just they like ghibli movies more than I do
Are you sure you want to put this much mana into a non-predictive market? Because this resolves based on the market status itself, you won't get unique trader bonuses to recoup your costs.
You could N/A this and submit it with just "other" and let users submit their own favorites. You could also say that it resolves to a poll you'll run after the market closes, and then I believe it would count as predictive.
They can add more, but my point is you paid 25 mana per option to add all of these and you didn't need to unless you're feeling generous.
