In an effort to stop scaring away kids with my excellent catalogue of vocab, I am going to attempt to go one day without swearing within the next week. Hopefully I become more PG-13 or something.
One day: defined as the time period from 12:00AM to 11:59PM on any given day, as opposed to days defined by my dogwater sleep schedule
Swearing: usage either verbally or online. Words include those from this list: https://qr.ae/prrgV1
If I use words like 'fork' and 'birch', the-good-place style, these will also count as swears.

Jan 6,,, update: lost in the first hour of the day because i was extremely tired and had to work on another application. however i have done my final application and likely prepare to become a monk tomorrow? who knows. without the applications i think i can actually focus on not swearing ☠ 4/7 left
@nettedjay update: JK i submitted an application and the feeling of liberation had to be celebrated with cannons (and by that i mean i just dropped an f bomb on accident). oops, 20% regret but also i lasted for like a solid 20 hours which is a solid improvement. 5/7 days left and i by this trend i reckon i can probably do it by tomorrow 😎 no guarantees though. fuck yes for liberation from stupid essays though

setting reminders to not swear that go off every 30 minutes
punishing yourself for swearing by immediately spraying your face with a spray bottle. The spray bottle should be carried around at all times and also serves as a reminder.
setting autocomplete to delete your typed swear words or replace them with nonsense (not minced oaths)

Background: I swear a LOT. I also have a bad memory. My impulse new year's resolution was to not swear on the first day of the year, and I managed to break that resolution 24 minutes into the year. I proceeded to supplement my mistake with even more swears.
The next two days have also detailed failures: today (Tuesday 3rd Jan) was a failure where I went a record 10 hours without swearing before letting slip a fuck. I have since given up on today and am free to lose as many fucks as I please, although this is notably not a good look for my YES shares.
