@NathanpmYoung @ms Badged users can resolve markets when the creators are inactive. But you're not supposed to just resolve like this, only if the author is inactive. See https://help.manifold.markets/unresolved-markets.
@NathanpmYoung I have a feeling about the supposedly-existing-procedures/rules violation, but this haven’t actually produced an unfair result, so I’m not upset
@NathanpmYoung why do you modelled he'd be fine with it? As an outsider this looks weird, especially if you are the one having the largest No position. At least that is something I do not want to happen with my markets.
Rules exist for a reason. I think your action would have been fine in isolation, but if people just start resolving whenever they think it's a good idea, there will be cases where it turns out they were wrong. And anyway, you should have at least posted the message described in https://help.manifold.markets/unresolved-markets that explains what was going on - @ms thought it was a bug, the point of the message is to make it very clear to everyone to avoid any issues.
