I’m currently a PhD student in philosophy at Harvard, in my second-to-third-last year. This means I’ll be on the job market next year or the next, trying to become a professor. Market resolved YES provided that I get a job offer for a tenure-track position by the end of the job market season in 2028.
The resolution date is in May of 2028, but I will keep the market open if for some reason things are unclear by that point.
The market will resolve YES even if I do not accept the offer. A postdoc will not be sufficient for YES. The market will resolve NO if I drop out of my PhD or I decide to not go on the academic job market.
I will not be trading in this market.
