Resolved
YES

Resolves to YES if a major government such as the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, etc, decides to regulate the creation or distribution of AI art through law. For example: laws banning AI art, encouraging it and accepting it as transformative, etc.

Resolves to NO otherwise. Furthermore, isolated lawsuits/cases that refer to previously existing laws will not resolve this as YES, unless it sets a meaningful legal precedent with the implication that future cases will be resolved similarly in expectation.

In this context, AI art specifically refers only to IMAGES, VIDEOS, 3D MODELS, or AUDIO generated or transformed using machine learning models such as Dalle, stable diffusion, and similar.

So a binding precedent regarding AI art as fair use regardless of the specific outcome of the case is considered a positive resolution?

predicted NO

@AaronKaufman yes, if it sets a clear expectation that future cases will be resolved similarly.
