The execution is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. local time but could be delayed because of legal action or preparation. The state has until 6 a.m. Friday to carry out the execution.
I interpret this as a slight chance it would be put off if there was anything in motion, even without action from the Supreme Court? I'm not really sure how all of this stuff works.
