I’m sure you’ve heard that the KFC Chizza has come to America, and will be nationwide on Monday, February 26th. And of course, I don’t need to tell you that the Chizza is a pizza with chicken for dough, sadly made with KFC chicken.

I’m planning to get one on Monday, if I can. What will I rate the Chizza on a scale from 0 - 100? If I can’t get one on Monday, I will pursue this goal to the best of my abilities (and general availability).
To hint a bit on my personal views, I don’t think KFC makes good chicken and would’ve rated the KFC Doubledown a 24.

So when I walked into the SF joint KFC/Taco Bell there was absolutely no signage for the Chizza so I was worried. But I wasn’t ready to give up so easily. As it turned out, they did have the Chizza! So I ordered one, waited and began to worry.
Before I review the KFC Chizza, I have to say that I can’t recommend that anyone eats KFC chicken. I don’t know where you live, but I’m certain there is some better chicken in your area. Don’t patronize KFC.
That being said, I liked the Chizza!

At first glance, yea, it was a bit rough. Clearly this was school lunchroom quality “pizza”, at best. But once I took a bite, I realized that somehow, the three mediocre pizza ingredients (pepperoni, cheese, and sauce) added something other than oil or grease to the chicken.

The reason that the Doubledown (seen above) rated so low was that the sandwich was predominantly KFC’s garbage chicken. KFC’s chicken is probably a 28-30 by itself, but when it’s all you’ve got, it’s so much worse.

When you compare that to the Chizza, you’ve got so much more going on to distract you from the bad base. While I only got halfway through the doubledown before I chucked it, I finished the Chizza.

Honestly, if you have to eat KFC chicken - and I can’t reiterate enough you should - it’s better with some sauce and cheese to hide the chicken.
I’d rate this a 35 and will resolve accordingly.

@mattyb I’ve left to get the Chizza! Once I order it, I’m shutting this market. Official last call (unless SF KFC breaks my heart)
@mattyb can't believe I'm on record here in front of god and everyone as being stood up to eat trash
Side-thread: @Popeyes needs to hire the KFC ideas man. KFC seems to have some A+ visionary level chicken artist in their R&D labs, churning out these masterpieces, but sadly his canvas is C- chicken.
Popeyes has that solid A- chicken that would shine from these random food launches. Popeyes is leaving money on the floor not copying their rivals.
