The German Federal Ministry of Transport subsidized the Deutschlandticket in 2023. This is a nation-wide, relatively cheap, flatrate ticket for all public transport. Currently, there no plans to continue the support. Thus, federal states would have to finance it all next year. Pressure is rising for Volker Wissing, Federal Minister of Digital and Transport, to change his mind.

Resolves YES if the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (German: Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr) announces to finance a significant part of the Deutschlandticket in 2024 before Christmas.

Resolves NO by Christmas.

Now i think i misunderstood the situation. The ministry will subsidize next year as planned. The problem is that costs are rising and the federal states don’t want to finance this gap themselves.

The question looks misleading now and I’m inclined to resolve it NA. Any opinions?
