On August 8, 2023, Ohio voters will vote on a ballot measure that would require proposed constitutional amendments to receive 60% of the vote to be approved (as opposed to the current 50%). This is widely seen as an attempt to make it harder for an abortion-rights amendment to pass.
If the vote does not take place on August 8 (or at all), then I will resolve to NO. (There is a lawsuit arguing that the special August date is unlawful.) There is also a lawsuit about the ballot title and description, but as long as a ballot measure with the same effect passes then this will resolve to YES.
