Will I still be on some birth control pill by the end of 2023?

Because of painful periods and for contraception purposes, I'll start hormonal birth control soon. I've never been on birth control before and am very aware of the potential side effects. As of right now, I'm 70% certain that I'd at least try to switch the brand of pill as soon as I experience depressive episodes. I guess I'd be fine with side effects like headaches, but severe acne would also be a reason to stop taking birth control. I'm 95% certain that I'll be sexually active throughout the whole year in some kind of way.

@linapredictsstuff Can you please resolve your closed questions?

Do you think you would consider a Mirena? I know several people who use it and it has helped with their periods in at least some cases. It's also more effective (and arguably a lot less risky wrt mental health) compared to oral contraceptive options. https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/mirena/about/pac-20391354

@mukimameaddict A hormonal IUD would be the next option I'd try in case I decided to stop taking hormonal birth control pills. However, since a Mirena is obviously not a pill, I'd still resolve this market as "No" if I was using one for contraception and regulating my cycle in the end of 2023!
