A summary of the situation is above. In a nutshell, a trial is due to begin in September in Nevada probate court to decide if Murdoch can amend his family's irrevocable trust, contrary to the wishes of three of his children (James, Elizabeth and Prudence) but supported by Lachlan Murdoch.

I'll resolve when this trial is concluded, assuming this decision comes down definitively on one side or the other.

If the dispute is settled out of court, I'll resolve based on what we know publicly about whether the trust is being amended. If we don't know details of the settlement in the weeks afterwards, I'll probably just resolve N/A.

The likelihood of legal appeals, or their likelihood of success won't matter to this resolution.

I’m assuming by ‘benefit’, you mean ‘give executive control’. Strictly speaking, the decision is allegedly being made to benefit all beneficiaries.

Fair point, yeah. I amended the wording a bit to remove reference to benefitting Lachlan.
