Resolution criteria
The market resolves YES if the mean SAT score for 2026 is below 1029 (the 2025 mean). The market resolves NO if the 2026 mean is equal to or above 1029. Resolution will be determined by the College Board's official 2026 SAT Suite of Assessments Annual Report, available at https://reports.collegeboard.org/sat-suite-program-results, which reports the mean composite score for all test takers in the graduating class of 2026.
Background
The average SAT score in 2025 was 1029, compared to 1024 in 2024. In 2023, the average SAT score was 1028, and in 2022, it was 1050. The SAT is scored on a scale of 400-1600, with two sections: Math and Evidence-Based Reading & Writing.
