Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to YES if OpenAI officially releases the ChatGPT personal finance experience for users on the ChatGPT Plus subscription plan at any time during the calendar year 2026.

The market will resolve to NO if the feature is not made available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers by 11:59 PM PT on December 31, 2026.

Resolution will be based on official announcements from OpenAI (such as updates to their blog at openai.com/news or official ChatGPT release notes at openai.com/help). The feature is currently available only to "Pro" plan subscribers in the United States; a rollout to a different tier or a general release that includes the Plus plan is required for a YES resolution.

Background

On May 15, 2026, OpenAI launched a preview of a new personal finance experience for ChatGPT. This feature allows users to connect their financial accounts—such as bank accounts, credit cards, and investment portfolios—using Plaid to receive personalized financial insights, budgeting advice, and spending analysis.

As of May 2026, this integration is exclusive to users on the ChatGPT "Pro" subscription plan in the United States. While OpenAI has stated its intention to eventually expand the feature to other users, including those on the ChatGPT Plus plan, it is currently restricted to the higher-tier Pro subscription.
