@jeans3 got into masters at columbia so did the partial, intended advisors all didnt have funding so gave me the deans scholarship for MSAI
@jeans3 In the meantime, I went and did quantum computing at ibm research, demonstrating how ridiculously hard academia is right now that with no internships and only 2 months, I was able to land a $200k job offer for the best place to do research in quantum computing, yet I almost didn't get into phd. Just got into phd for UCSD a couple weeks ago.
