This market resolves to the number of seats won by members of the Democratic Party in the 2024 U.S. House elections.

Currently, Democrats hold 213 seats (of 435), while Republicans hold 222. 218 seats are needed for a majority.

Independents who caucus with Democrats do not count towards this question. In addition, the market resolves based on party status when elected, so a representative flipping parties after being inaugurated will not affect the resolution of this market.

If the U.S. House or Democratic Party cease to exist before November 2024, or if the U.S. House elections scheduled for 2024 are not held, this market resolves as N/A.

This market closes at midnight EST on November 5, 2024, and resolves only when all 435 seats in the election have been called by the Associated Press. Depending on various factors, this could take anywhere from about one week to a month.
