Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram, is releasing a new app called Threads that is set to take on Twitter for real-time digital conversations. The first releases are scheduled for July 5th, 2023.
This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald J. Trump posts on Threads at least once in 2023 (ET timezone). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
Please note, only posts from confirmed Trump's account count for this market.
Will Donald Trump tweet in 2023?
trump posts on instagram (President Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) | Instagram) and Facebook (Donald J. Trump | Facebook)... I think there's a chance he'll post on threads, at least a higher chance than posting on twitter.
Trump been holding out for threads... Not going to twitter
@BrendanFinan Since his account had been reinstated, people have been speculating if and when he would get back on twitter (Trump allies expect him to return to Twitter — when he needs a boost (axios.com)). If you're asking me he had said anything specifically or if he announced anything, I haven't read anything like that.
The last sentence was a response to the trump twitter markets that say he's been holding off of tweeting due to X (X = whatever reasons that they list in those markets). I think because he does have an Instagram account and posts there. To me, it seems like if there was a platform he was holding out for, it wouldn't be for twitter, it would be for threads (which uses instagram login/password).
