Resolved
YES

This is a market on a year-to-year inflation, as measured by the Eurostat (HICP), from February 2022 to February 2023.

This market will resolve to “Yes” if the European Union annual inflation in February 2023 is higher than 8.0 percent and "No" otherwise.

The resolution source for this market will be the Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union: https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-euro-indicators. This market will resolve to the "flash estimate" data

Note, that this market is about the inflation for all European Union Member States, not only the Euro zone (states using €).

Inflation dashboard for the Euro zone can be viewed here: https://www.ecb.europa.eu/stats/macroeconomic_and_sectoral/hicp/html/index.en.html

@itsTomekK where did you get data to resolve this?

The "flash estimate" Euro area inflation was published, but not EU to my knowledge.

@chrisjbillington Ufff my bad! I changed previous markets to flash estimate, but EU doesn't have it, just eurozone!

Will flag myself, and pray that EU inflation is above 8%

Hmm how can I flag the resolution? I don't see a button on my market

@itsTomekK Resolutions can be changed now! You just need to ask the admins.

I do not believe there is a "flash estimate" for the European Union, only for the Euro Area.

Erurostat says:

Monthly HICP data are published twice a month. A flash estimate for the euro area is published at the end of the month followed by the full series of indices for Member States and at European level, including HICP at constant taxes, approximately two weeks later (see the release schedule #inflation).

So looks like we have to wait until March 17th for resolution.
