It's a common theory among Deltarune fans that Kris, the protagonist of the game, is the same person as the Knight, the game's main villain. Supporters argue that their Dark World outfit, obsession with knives, and questionable actions (including opening a Dark Fountain) suggest that they're the Knight - detractors argue that such a twist would be inconsistent with the game's narrative, and that Kris being the Knight is physically impossible, as the Dark Fountain in the library was opened while Kris was under player control in the school.
So, let's bet some play-money: is Kris the Knight?
This market resolves as YES if Kris is explicitly revealed to be the same person as the Knight. This reveal must take place in Deltarune itself, or in official media run by the game's developers, e.g. the game's official website, Toby Fox's social media accounts, and so on.
This market resolves as NO if another character is explicitly revealed to be the same person as the Knight, or if Kris and the Knight are shown in the same room at the same time as separate characters, or if circumstantial evidence (e.g. the Knight taking actions offscreen while Kris is onscreen) proves that Kris is not the Knight. This reveal must meet the same criteria as stated above.
This market resolves amibguously if the identity of the Knight is left ambiguous, so long as there's a real chance that it could be Kris (for example, if Kris and the Knight meet face-to-face, but the Knight's identity is ambiguous, the market still resolves as NO because the Knight could not be Kris). It also resolves ambiguously if the final chapter of Deltarune has not been released by the end of 2035, or if Deltarune is never finished or fully released for whatever reason.
@ForrestTaylor I was thinking the same thing! There's four total including this one, from what I can tell. The game being released in parts like this is a really fun opportunity to make prediction markets about it.
