Why are people buying France to more than 50% when Australia is currently in 3rd? And there are 3-4 other countries that could realistically get 3rd? With one more week to go?

At least for me, I was overrating the Nielsen Gracenote predictions (https://www.nielsen.com/news-center/2024/virtual-medal-table-forecast/) since they have a good track record. Unfortunately I couldn't find a by-event breakdown of their analysis to help with live predictions.
There were a lot of French gold contenders who choked, and a lot of Japan's wins were unexpected: 8 golds in wrestling is insane for such a well-established event. Japan is good at wrestling, but their previous best was only 5 golds.
