This market is a sports stock and resolves to Pro Football Reference’s Hall of Fame Monitor (HOFm) end-of-career score for Caleb Williams.
A score of 100 is around the average modern-era NFL Hall of Fame inductee. A score of 80 or above means they're a good candidate to eventually get in, or they’re the highest-profile borderline candidates.
See full lists of HOFm scores for NFL players with at least 50 career games here.
This market resolves to the player’s HOFm score, rounded to the nearest integer, at the beginning of the NFL season following the announcement of the player’s retirement or effective retirement (no longer actively seeking employment).
If a HOFm score for this player is not published at market close (for example, as of market creation, a score is only published for players with 50+ career games), this market will resolve N/A.
@SethWalder Thanks Seth, I’m glad you approve! I’m not sure if everyone appreciates/understands them but since Mojo recently folded I thought there was good reason to continue them in some form here. They lack much liquidity so the smallest bet changes the stock price significantly but that will get better over time.
I’ve enjoyed seeing all the unique markets you’ve created- looks like you’re having some fun and/or finding them useful!
@dglid Yes, I'm loving Manifold! Miss the fantasy stock market you made last year :)
@SethWalder I had a grant from the Manifold team for the fantasy stock market; I would go broke if now I had to find that myself!
Any other players you’d particularly like to see these “Hall of Fame Monitor” sports stocks?
Know any similar metrics for other sports beyond football and baseball? Their basketball scores seem to just be on a scale of 0-1 for probability of making it into the NBA HOF which is not really conducive for a stock value…
@dglid Some that come to mind that I'd love to see:
Drake Maye
Bryce Young
C.J. Stroud
Micah Parsons
Sauce Gardner
