@KongoLandwalker Well, maybe. The person I used to be 20 years ago does not particularly feel like "me" now. Sure, we share many things, but I would not say that the intuition that "I am still me" is obvious.

@Irigi would you be prisoned for the actions of the molecules that were on your place before? Yes. From the point of law.

"Me" is just a label. It is not based on your characteristics such as personality and memory (which of couse change over time). It is based on structural time-continuity of some matter collection. Some parts of the collection change, some characteristics too, but the collection moves, thinks and acts as a whole.

Of course it is, otherwise it wouldn't be the Ship of Theseus.

How will you resolve this?

@Irigi now that we have polls I would have made this a poll question instead of a yes/no market question

There are no ships in the territory, only fields of elementary particles (or similar fundamental objects). Ship is only a human concept, part of the map. So my opinion: the answer is anything people will decide the answer is :-)
