To qualify for the ATP finals, a player must be in the top 8 for total accumulated points that year. The current top 2 Americans are Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul, who are #9 and #10 for accumulated points this year as of 7/22.

If an American qualifies as an alternate (positions 9 and 10 are alternates), that does not count.
