The USAMO scores are released in MAA contest portal on edvistas.. The date is defined to be (in Eastern Daylight Time zone) that of the first score report email received by a student. The first "batch" are generally released on the same day.
Update 2026-04-22 (PST) (AI summary of creator comment): Scores release is now defined as whenever scores are visible on at least one student's edvistas portal page (not email-based). The market description has been updated to reflect this change.

@traders market description is changed. I thought for some reason that scores were still sent by email. Instead, they are sent directly to the students on the edvistas portal. Thus "scores release " would be whenever they are visible on at least one student portal page. I will keep this market open until end of day. I would be shocked to see no score report emails sent out today though.
@a_clown ...I know (at least one) trader who bet based on the original description. Please try to resolve unbiasedly and base your resolution on the original description.
@a_clown ok first of all the market is currently not possible to trade on. but more importantly i agree with @GoldenUser820
@jatloe for all purposes "score release" in the dictionary would mean students learning of their scores. however I incorrectly stated how this would happen so this market was kind of messed up from the start.
@a_clown The term "score release" is not defined in any official English dictionary. Additionally, you DEFINED what "date of score release" means. This overrides any definition (which does NOT exist to begin with) that an English dictionary may have.
@a_clown Also, I think that scores will be sent from proctors too. In AMSP, MTip said "THe system screw up" and "This shouldn't be out" in response to "JMO scores out", so edvistas is not how they are supposed to be released.
(It was also said that "(to get ahead of any rumors/conspiracy theories: the scores themselves are fine, to the best of my (our?) knowledge)")
@a_clown what qualifies as a "score report email"? Does any proctor emailing one of their students any of their scores count?
