I will be staying in NYC for 5 days in early April.
My schedule will be active, with frequent use of the subway.
It has to be a real, physical rat (e.g. not just watching "Ratatouille").
I'm not particularly observant, although I have spent a lot of time in NYC and seen plenty of rats.
This is an extremely silly market, so please don't place any bets if you don't trust the (extremely silly) process. (If I see a rat I'll try to take a pic, but I doubt I'll be able to).

Close callโthey stayed in hiding [1] until my walk home on the final night. At 10:42PM (according to my phone) in Brooklyn, a fine specimen of Rattus norvegicus darted in front of our path, running from the street to the nearby dumpster. His little companion quickly followed. I tried to whip out my phone (blurry pic below) but I was far too slow (as I assumed I would be). My friend can confirm that I was not misled, these were indeed rats.

[1] Ok not actually in hiding. On the first night we walked past a trash can with clear rat chirps coming from within. But I didn't exactly want to stick my head too close to the trash can, so I waited to see if I would encounter a rat naturally.
