Resolves YES if the Best in Show winner for the 2025 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is a breed of retriever, and NO if the winner is any other breed.
Here's a list of past winners.
Dog breeds are tricky and I don't understand them well, so I plan to be fairly strict for what counts as a "retriever". Here is the American Kennel Club ranking of dogs—currently the only breeds I would count in the top 100 are "Retrievers (Chesapeake Bay)" and "Retrievers (Golden)". Elsewhere, there are many other retriever breeds listed (e.g. "Retrievers (Curly-Coated)", "Retrievers (Flat-Coated)", "Retrievers (Labrador)", etc). In short, I expect that "retriever" needs to be in the official name of the winning breed to resolve YES (unless someone makes a very convincing argument to include another breed before the final show begins, & I can adjust the criteria).
