At the 2020 Olympics, 9 different countries won at least one medal in women's artistic gymnastics:
USA
ROC
Great Britain
Brazil
South Korea
Belgium
China
Italy
Japan
This market resolves based on the number of different countries that win at least one medal in any of the six women's artistic gymnastics events.
In the case of a tie, both countries count as winning a medal.
"Neutral athletes" (i.e. an athlete who is not affiliated with a country) accumulate medals for Neutral (which we count as its own country).
Note the minimum here is three because the team medals must each go to distinct countries.
For more markets, check out the Olympic Gymnastics dashboard.

By my count, that's only 5 countries:
USA
Italy
Brazil
China
Algeria
I plan to resolve this to 3-5, unless I missed something.
Super surprising, driven by the total dominance of Brazil & the US (in all-around, vault, & floor, rebeca/biles/other-american-with-bronze were the only medalists, like clockwork each time). and it required (a) italy to pick up a bunch of medals, & (2) romania's potential bronze in floor to be overturned when jordan chiles challenged her score. so it's pretty nuts that it's only 5 countries winning medals across 6 different events!
Halfway (3 out of 6 events complete), and we're still at the minimum possible count of countries—just three. USA, Brazil, & Italy.
In theory, there could still be 9 new countries represented in the final 3 events. But USA & Brazil are likely to continue to win medals. How many countries can break onto the podium? Here are the qualifying scores. China & Algeria are likely to medal in the uneven bars (& Belarus has a shot). Romania has a shot of medaling on the beam. Romania could medal on the floor exercise.
