Amid the ongoing Iran protests there is a risk that the US or Israel will strike Iran, and Iran will retaliate with rocket strikes on Israel, or that Iran will do so preemptively.

Will this happen in January or not, and if so when will it start?

Resolution will be on the day a NOTAM is released by Israel ending all civilian air traffic for any length of time, or on February the 1st of that hasn't happened by then. All dates are in Israel time.
