Resolution criteria

This market will resolve to "Yes" if, by December 31, 2026, the American Express (Amex) and Coinbase co-branded card is discontinued without a specified reason, or if there is verifiable evidence of the departure of an Amex executive who worked on the project. If brand tracking info (Qualtrics, Nielsen, etc) data becomes publicly available and a significant decline is attributable to this launch, that will weigh on the resolution, as well.

Background

In previous statements, Amex CEO Stephen Squeri has expressed skepticism about offering crypto-linked cards, viewing cryptocurrencies more as an asset class than a means of payment.
