Context:
VTubers are big, and seem like a pretty obvious potential first market for AI created monetizable content. Will this idea take off?
Neuro-sama's concurrent viewership record is 3,393. 40k is around the line for a top 100 VTuber according to this page (https://playboard.co/en/youtube-ranking/most-watched-v-tuber-channels-in-worldwide-yearly).
Resolution methodology:
By an AI VTuber, I'm referring to someone in the style of https://virtualyoutuber.fandom.com/wiki/Neuro-sama. The minimal requirement is that their dialogue & chat interaction must be AI generated. If gameplay/Live2D control is still done by a human, I'll still count it. It's possible that someone might try to fake an AI vtuber, and I'm going to generally lean towards trusting the claims the VTuber/agency make about themselves wrt to their AI-ness, unless there is specific credible evidence to the contrary.
The "more than one stream" requirement is meant to avoid a scenario where a single stream goes viral because of the novelty.
If there is some scenario which technically meets the requiements but I feel is against the spirit of the market, I intend to use my judgement to make exceptions.

According to https://twitchtracker.com/vedal987/streams#max-viewers Neuro-sama has already passed 10k max concurrent viewers four times. Two were exceptional streams, a debut stream and a collab with a hololive member, but two were "dev stream with Neuro", named "rare" and "uncommon" respectively.
Reader, those are definitely not that uncommon.
