@jacksonpolack blues, jazz, ragtime all owe hugely to nonwestern sources, and owe particularly heavily toward african music. there are lots of stories of these early black american musicians not being able to read music notation at all. but somehow blues is 99% inspired by western 18th century musicians? i dont think so.

if you make a list of the specific ways they do that, and then comapre that to the ways they are based on western sources, the latter will be larger and more significant than the former.

at least 50% of people hold the belief that "there is nothing good about <genre>, it is awful", personally, for many large genres of music. They may say it as "It's not my kind of music", but it refers to the same kind of thing. It is absurd to attribute that to racism!

you know he's in the mood lately to defend his privilege again. he says on his stream "these black zoomers on twitch and tiktok are too loud" . its a common sentiment among racists that black people are too loud. but there is no limit to how much destiny can equivocate hate on black lives as valid personal feelings who need to be coddled

@JamieCrom The time frame is very short and everything after his first ban only ended up being for ban evasion. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens again, but definitely feels unlikely in this time frame bar them just deciding that he was accidentally unbanned or something.
