My client's preferred coding agent currently allows me to select between a few versions of Claude and GPT. Each question resolves based on whether a Claude model is available and functional in their agent's model picker on the last business day of the month.

The client is a Fortune 500 company but not a defense contractor. They are pretty minimally involved in government and politics by major company standards.

Months are all 2026. I skipped a few months in the second half of the year because I don't expect the distinction between, say, September vs October to provide much signal.
