Yesterday, March 22nd of 2024, the first season of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End came to an end. No second season has yet been announced, but considering the show's popularity (and considering that it hasn't yet reached the end of the story) it seems pretty likely that one will be announced sooner or later. So when do we expect it to start airing?

Market resolves to the year on which the first episode of the second season airs. If the story continues from where it was left off in the form of a movie rather than a show, as sometimes seems to happen in anime, the market will instead resolve to the year of the movie's initial release to the public (whether that's theatrical or streaming or some other thing). Shorts / omakes which don't serve as continuations of the story, should any of those be released prior to a second season or movie, won't resolve this market.
